Our Mission: Empowering Children Through Education
Established in 2002, NICE (Needy Illiterate Children Education) is a registered non-profit dedicated to liberating and educating children previously subjected to child and bonded labour. As the only charitable, CBSE-affiliated residential school in a rural setting, we provide a fully free environment for 140 boys and 60 girls. Our holistic approach ensures every child has access to quality food, shelter, and healthcare, alongside a clear career path through technical and vocational training. We are proud to maintain a 100% pass rate in our 10th-grade results for 16 consecutive years, a testament to the dedication of our students and faculty.
Community Transformation: The Yerrapenta Village Adoption
Under the leadership of Purnachander Rao, NICE School has adopted Yerrapenta Village with a vision for total community transformation. Over the past year, we have spearheaded several high-impact initiatives:
- • Healthcare & Essentials: Organized multiple health camps with free medicine and provided food and clothing to those in need.
- • Sustainable Agriculture: Conducted organic farming workshops to promote nutritious food production and environmental stewardship.
- • Education & Awareness: Established a community library with over 2,000 books and led awareness programs on hygiene, sanitation, and the reduction of alcohol consumption.
Measurable Impact & Annual Accountability
One year into our village adoption, the results are transformative: healthcare visits have decreased due to improved wellness, sustainable farming practices are flourishing, and community self-reliance has reached new heights. We remain committed to transparency and shared progress:
- • 2023-24 Annual Report: Released on April 30, 2024, detailing our latest milestones.
- • Historical Resilience: Our 2020-21 report was published despite pandemic challenges, reflecting our unwavering commitment to our supporters.
