Our History
NICE (Needy Illiterate Children Education) was founded in May 2002 by Purnachandra Rao with the aim of providing education and care for children who had little or no access to schooling due to poverty, orphanhood, or difficult social circumstances. What began as a small initiative gradually developed into a structured effort focused on long-term educational support.
Over the years, NICE established a fully free residential school that provides food, shelter, healthcare, and academic guidance to children from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds. The school combines formal education with discipline, values, and life skills to help students grow into confident and responsible individuals.
Today, NICE School continues to support hundreds of children through free education while also extending its work into community outreach, health camps, and village development programs. The institution remains committed to its founding purpose of creating better futures through education and care.
