Our Mission
At the heart of NICE is a commitment to providing a sanctuary for children affected by poverty and social disadvantage. Our mission is to offer more than just a classroom; we strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where children receive free CBSE-standard education alongside full residential support, healthcare, and hygiene. We are dedicated to developing the "whole child" by instilling the discipline and values necessary for independent living. By providing consistent guidance and holistic care, NICE School ensures that every child, regardless of their past, has the opportunity to build a self-reliant, secure, and meaningful future.
Our Vision
We envision a world defined by equity, where every child enjoys access to education, dignity, and opportunity, irrespective of their economic or social background. At NICE, we believe that the powerful combination of education and compassionate guidance has the potential to transform individual lives and, in turn, strengthen entire communities. Our vision is realized through a commitment to creating equal learning opportunities for rural and marginalized children while fostering a sense of responsible citizenship. By promoting health, skill development, and social responsibility, we aim to contribute to long-term village development and build a society rooted in awareness and shared progress.
Our History
Founded in May 2002 by P. Purnachandra Rao, NICE (Needy Illiterate Children Education) began with a singular, profound mission: to provide education and care for children side-lined by poverty, orphan hood, or challenging social circumstances. What started as a modest grassroots initiative has since evolved into a robust, structured institution dedicated to long-term child welfare. Over the years, NICE has established a comprehensive, fully free residential school that provides students with quality education, nutritious food, secure accommodation, and consistent academic guidance. By blending formal schooling with a strong emphasis on discipline, values, and life skills, we empower our students to grow into confident, responsible individuals. Today, NICE continues to support hundreds of children while expanding its impact through vital community outreach, health camps, and rural development programs, staying true to its founding promise of creating brighter futures through dedicated care.
